Saving dollars isn’t too worth while when you have to take your pc into the shop for a virus removal that will cost 50, oror more depending on where you go.

I’m having the same problems on a toshiba a 1da with the drive mentioned. In this scenario, you must reinstall any affected programs.
Then try to open the cd drive using the button. Track this discussion and email me when there are updates.

I see this model failed all too often. It still reads cds. The system is Vista Home basic.
